Chinese restaurant Legend Seafood was established in 1990 at Chinatown Cultural Plaza; offers a Hong Kong Cantonese style dining experience in a modest and relaxed atmosphere along with reasonable price. Legend is a Honolulu dim sum joint by day and seafood restaurant by night that’s very popular with the locals. Seats fill up quickly. It’s best to arrive before 10:30 a.m. on weekends. Deep fried taro puffs should be ordered without a moment's hesitation. They run out fast.

"Come here for dim sum! There is an a la carte menu to order off of though I never have. I've seen some dishes and it looks good though. The carts come around pretty often. There is a wide selection and delicious food.... Key words: char siu or shrimp look fun, turnip cake, seafood dumpling, mochi pork, sticky rice (in the leaves, not the bowl), rice soup, chive and shrimp fried dumpling, boiled choi sum, any dumplings or hash. I know it's a lot. But it's dim sum, you need a ton. The boiled choi sum is expensive (I think the bottom / highest price) but so worth it. It's simple, covered with an oyster sauce and a nice way to balance all the fried meat."
